Jakarta, 7 December 2016 -- PT. Artajasa Pembayaran Elektronis (Artajasa), Indonesia’s leading payment system service provider and PT. Infinitium Solutions (Infinitium), one of the leading e-payments and security solutions provider in the region, jointly announced today their strategic partnership agreement to develop B-Secure with Dynamic One-Time Password (OTP) Authentication, an end-to-end authenticated e-commerce payment solution for issuing banks and merchants, tailored to be compatible with the various banks under ATM Bersama. The signing ceremony was witnessed by Pak Sofwan Kurnia, Deputy Director Perizinan dan Perlindungan Konsumen Sistem Pembayaran Bank Indonesia.
The B-Secure authentication system is designed under the specification of Artajasa’s bank network that enables all its banks to take part in e-commerce payments, most of which are banks who do not have VISA/MasterCard authentication license for e-commerce transactions. Infinitium has been awarded as technology provider to implement the dynamic OTP authentication solution within the system.
Following this partnership agreement, Artajasa becomes the pioneer bank within Indonesia’s electronic transactions landscape to implement a domestic authentication system for its e-commerce payment platform, with the capability to cater to specific needs of its banks network. This will facilitate a seamless online debit payment process with real-time status confirmation and settlement, which gives the assurance of accuracy and convenience.

Given ATM Bersama’s network footprint of 87 institutions and more than 100 million cardholders, the market impact of B-Secure system paves the way for greater security and convenience for all stakeholders within the e-commerce payment ecosystem, from merchants to issuing banks to cardholders. Online purchase transactions, from authentication, authorization and approval, will be conducted real-time in a single and secured process, facilitated between merchants and issuing banks under the ATM Bersama network. With B-Secure Dynamic OTP authentication, cardholders of member banks under the ATM Bersama network are empowered to control authentication of purchases using their mobile devices, thus enabling them to make online purchases with confidence and security in mind.
